Anyone have a spare copy? LOL!!!

Muffin Tin Lunch

The kids loved their muffin tin lunch! What a great way to teach sharing and to get all of the the daily nutritional needs in. I got this from another website, but I can't remember where. Sorry :(
They loved it!

Our muffin tin consisted of pretzels, yogos, marshmallows, cereal, broccoli, granola, cheese, peaches, hotdogs, watermelon, tomatoes, and cheese crackers.
(Of course, the tomatoes and broccoli were the last to go! LOL)

I am so tired!

This weekend we had my parents over, and Sunday was Jeff's birthday party. I started Friday making the cake and kolaches (a special dessert Jeff's grandma used to make). I finished them on Saturday. I didn't really make a themed cake this year. I just didn't have the energy. But, I did make it huge with several layers. It was white and chocolate cake with a whipped chocolate ganache. The icing was butter cream. ( I noticed after the party that I didn't cross the T!!!! I always do that! LOL)

The kolaches:
Well, Saturday night was the first thing to go wrong! I had hid the kolaches in the oven so Jeff wouldn't see them. Well, you know what happened! Jeff decided on a frozen pizza for supper and I turned on the oven. Not too much later I saw smoke rising from the stove! Yes, I burnt the kolaches and the plastic tray they were on! UGH!!!!
Jeff had to clean up the mess. I decided to start on the kolaches again that night. I made the dough while my parents were here, and finished them on Sunday morning. We had so much fun with my parents here. Jaden got to show off his new game that he enjoys........UNO! He loves it. He plays very well.
Sunday morning, I got all of the party stuff ready and we headed to church. We are still trying to find a closer church. The one we went to is still 40 minutes away. I searched last night for another church closer. We are going to try one near Greenfield soon. It should only take us about 10 minutes.
When we got home, Jeff let the kids play on the slip n slide while my mom and I got the food ready. Little did he know, that his brother and sister were coming! He was so surprised to see them. Uncle Bill brought the kids some presents. That was fun!

Jeff had a great time!
I got to surprise him with a ticket for a race car experience! He gets to ride in a race car this Sunday around the Indy track! I can't wait! He also got some gift cards and a dart board! We all love the dart board!
We had a such a fun weekend!

The yummy punch (Thank you Kelly!)

What a great weekend!
Happy 40th Birthday Jeff! His actual birthday is on Thursday. We will be doing some fun things that day also!

Still Feeling Crafty....

Awhile back, I got a frame from a yard sale for free. It was late, and the owners said, "Just take it!". I was going to make a cork board out of it, but decided to stick paper in it. I love the way it turned out. Especially since it was free (well, accept the cost of paper, which is CHEAP!).

Crafty

I got a few of my crafts done tonight! I am so excited!

First, I started on some pictures for our dining room. I had decided I wanted to put some pretty paper prints up that match my colors. I found these on another website:
and fell in love! I really want to get some prints like these, but that will have to wait. But, I am so happy that I did it. It was so much fun!

I can't seem to get a very good picture of them. But, Jeff approves, and that is saying something! LOL. I think I will make some for each holiday to put up there. I am also thinking of making some to match the family room! (I could go crazy!)
Then, I started on an idea I have had for awhile now. A reading area for Cassidy in the playroom.
I want to do so much with this area. I plan on getting a round pink or green pillow for the bottom. I will hang some ribbons from the netting and add a few more green and pink circles. I need some tiebacks also. I would like to paint Cassidy's name on the wall somewhere there. Again, the picture doesn't do this justice. Looks so much better in person!. Now, I need to find a place for all of those toys I had to move out of that corner!
I feel like I am finally make some progress on my scrapbooking. I am only 9 months behind now!!! ACK!

Pirates will be here....

Jaden has decided on a "Pirate" themed party for his birthday. It should be really fun! I can't wait to plan. Jeff's birthday is next week and his party on Sunday. That should also be fun. My parents might be spending the night Saturday night and going to church with us on Sunday! Like a mini vacation for them! Hopefully, they will get lots of shopping done on Saturday!
I have some projects going on. I will post them as soon as I am finished. Also, I picked up some awesome stuff at Hobby Lobby for 80% off the other day! Love those sales!
Have a great week everyone, and I will update with pictures soon.
For now, I will leave you with a little potty training:

So, it begins...

POTTY TRAINING :)

Cassidy will pee and poop when I ask her to, so I figure we should start training. This only took Jaden 2 days to master. We bought some cute Dora panties today! She seems excited!

We had a playdate with Ireland and Virginia this week. That was fun. We tried a movie, but the kids were anxious to do something else. Jaden was sitting through it okay, but I think Ireland and Cassidy wanted to play. Jaden ate way too much candy! Totally my fault. He was a bit hyper! Here are the kids in all of their cuteness. It was Jaden's first date! LOL

From the movie theater:

They had more fun at Ireland's house:
Today, we visited some more friends:

I have started get my teaching plan under way this week. That is such a chore! Everything is coming along nicely. We will start homeschooling on August 11th. August 8th, he will get all new school supplies and get introduced to "homeschool". He is excited! I can't wait!
Wish me luck on the potty training.

Imperfectly Beautiful

Linda over at Restyled Home has asked us to post our imperfect makeovers, decorating, or artwork that is in our homes. I decided to participate since I have a few I have done recently. This is the table I purchased off of Craigslist for $10! Just a can of black paint and I love it!

Here are some homemade decorations:

I have so many more things planned to make. I will be sure to post them as I finish them! I can't wait to see everyone's imperfect things! They are the most beautiful and creative things in our home!

Under the Stairs!

Under the stairs won! So, now I need to start decorating! (thanks Phyllis for the tips!) We really haven't done much in that room yet, since we don't have furniture in there. Well, we do, just not any couches yet. It is a work in progress.

So much happened last week when I was taking a break. I thought I would share some pictures from then!

New Table

I found a cheap table on Craigslist and saw so much potential for it. So, I picked it up this morning and painted it this afternoon. I love it, I am just not sure where I want it! Here is the before and after picture.

I am not sure if I should keep it by the door or under the stairs?

Let me know what you think!!!!

Frog Bathroom

When we moved into this house, we knew we had several things we wanted to do to the upstairs bath. This room is considered the kids' bathroom. I have started decorating it in frogs. Although, we need to tear up the flooring and replace the vanity and sink. Well, now we definitely need a new sink. The porcelain starting chipping away last week! We really don't know why. So, now we are planning on buying a cheap sink to replace it until we redo the whole room. We have so many other things we need!
But, I did get the shower curtain I wanted! I love it!

Desks

Awhile back I purchased two antique desks for homeschooling. One is in the playroom and the other is sitting in our dining room. After putting it there, I decided I like it there. I wish I knew of a way to decorate it or make it fit in the room better. Any ideas?
We will eventually be painting the walls green and I am hoping to put some harlequin diamonds on one wall.
