Birthday Party!

What a great Sunday yesterday! We celebrated my 30th birthday! We went Terre Haute and met up with family at a blacklight mini golf place. How cool was that! I loved it! Jeff and I got to play some darts too.

Then, we picked up some Pizza Hut pizza and took it to my mom and dad's house.
The cake was awesome:
Yes, that is one massive cupcake on my cake! And, it was yummy!
I got so many things that I wanted! Jeff surprised me with an Itunes giftcard, and two preorders: Jon and Kate plus 8 book and the new Clay Aiken cd! I can't wait to get those.
My brother's family got me the Bob Harper exercise video (YAY) and a TGIF giftcard.
My mom and dad got me two urns (love them!), God Bless Our Home sign, earrings, and a copper birdfeeder!
I had such a great time! It is so awesome that my family still gets together for every birthday!
We went to church later that evening and headed home.
It was a long day, but a great one!
Now, back to my diet. I am the lowest I have been in 10 years! I plan to make my goal by June. I am hoping to drop atleast 5 pounds by Cassidy's birthday (May 3rd)!

Frogs, haircuts, and birthday parties!

Last night, Jaden went to his first Friday Night Frogwatch. He loved it. I think Daddy did too! They learned about frogs and all of the sounds they make. They didn't find any, it was too cold. But, they did see several deer. Also, he got to stop at Daddy's work. He loved that!

Today, I looked at Jaden's hair and realized he needed to get his Spring haircut. I figured I would go a little shorter since it is getting so hard to deal with. His hair is so fine and frizzy!
Tomorrow, my family is celebrating my 30th birthday. It is so exciting. I am really not feeling bad about turning 30. I feel more like an adult! Jaden came home from frog hunting and said, "I didn't get you anything!". So, I figure he has something for me. That is so cool.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Tomorrow is Sunday, find a church!
God Bless!

Another day....

Today was just another day. I did some touching up on the walls, since our new outlet covers are smaller than our old ones! Jaden and Cassidy played......... all day! LOL I guess that is their job.
On Easter, they got a small pot to paint and plant some seeds. So, they had a blast doing that. Jaden helped me make enchiladas. That was so much fun, but the poor thing didn't like them. He had an ice cream sandwich instead. Healthy, I know!
Tomorrow, the plan is more of the same. Jaden will have his Friday Night Frogwatch tomorrow. That should be exciting. I will not be there, so I hope I get full details from Jeff!
Have a great Friday!

A new seat in our house!

First off, Easter was great! We spent the morning looking at all of the things the easter bunny left for the kids. Then, we hunted for eggs. We had to hurry and get the kid's Easter clothes on for church in Terre Haute. Church was awesome!!!!!

Afterward, we went to my parent's house and stuffed our bellies! It was a great day!

New boots from the Easter bunny:

This one was especially hard to find!:
Easter clothes:

And now, for the new seat in our house!:
We are very excited about this seat. I think it is a little too early still, but she can sit on it while we go potty and maybe she will get the idea! She is very excited about having her own potty! She kept saying, "Potty!" in the store!!!!
Have a great week!

Painting, cupcakes, and eggs

The painting is all done and we love it. It makes the house look like a home. I love the color we picked. Here is a picture of the kitchen:

We still have so many plans for the kitchen. We would like new lighting, wood floors, and all black appliances. We can only do a little at a time.
Today, I started the day by being the Easter bunny and purchasing a few more items for the kid's Easter baskets. I am so excited about all of the things they got. When I got home, I started on the cupcakes. I made some lemon cupcakes with Marshmallow Frosting and some Carrot Cake cupcakes with Cream Cheese icing. YUM! I hope everyone enjoys them tomorrow. I really can't get enough of baking cupcakes! It is so fun!

The kids and I decorated eggs this afternoon and tonight they will put out their baskets for the Easter bunny to fill.

I plan on reading some of the Easter story out of the Bible to Jaden tonight. I really want them to know the reason for Easter. So far, I asked Jaden and he said, "Jesus". So, I know I am on the right track. I decided not to take them to the Easter Bunny this year. I really want to enforce the reason for why we are celebrating. They don't like the Easter Bunny anyway!

Have a great Easter and don't forget to celebrate Jesus' resurrection all day tomorrow!

What a day!

Jeff was off today and we weren't really sure what we were going to do. Yesterday, I spent part of the day buying paint and painting in our family room. I decided I would do more today. I picked out Davenport Tan from Benjamin Moore. I love that color and it looks great in here! My hands are now sore and my back hurts, but it is all worth it.

Jeff took Jaden to see Horton Hears a Who. I really wanted to see it, but I knew Cassidy wouldn't sit still and I really needed to get some more of this painting done.
We fed the ducks breakfast and dinner today! They were waiting by our patio door tonight for dinner. I probably started a bad thing, but I love seeing the kids out there feeding them.
Now, I am looking forward to making Easter cupcakes for Sunday! That will be so fun! I am thinking Carrot Cake or maybe lemon! YUM!
Have a great day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

By golly, another leprechaun showed up at our house and turned our milk and koolaid green and left chocolate, gold coins in our shoes! That is too funny. Jaden really got a kick out of it.
After lunch, we decided to make our annual shamrock cookies. These are always so good.

Jaden got some pirate tattoos in his cereal, but he doesn't care to put them on. So, guess who has to? LOL

I got our pictures back that we got taken a couple of weeks ago. They turned out okay. I was really hoping for some better pictures. We will be getting some more taken next month for Cassidy's 2 year birthday! Here are the best ones:

And my favorite!:
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

More cupcakes.....

I was excited to go to the library today because they were having "Green" day! Kermit the frog was going to be there and some green food for the kids to eat. It was during naptime, but I decided to let the kids go. No one was there when we got there. I guess they decided not to have it. I really hate when things happen like that. It is one of my biggest pet peeves! Why schedule something and not follow through, grrrr!

I decided to make some more cupcakes tonight! I am having so much fun! Although, our figures will probably show my new hobby! LOL
This time I made homemade, creme filled, chocolate cupcakes with peppermint icing! YUM! I plan on taking them to my parent's house tomorrow before church. I am sure they will like them!

Cupcakes

During the last few weeks I have been obsessed with looking at cupcakes online! There are so many different kinds! I love to make cakes, and cupcakes just seem so cute. Then, yesterday, I went to The Flying Cupcake, and now I am even more obsessed. I decided to make some cupcakes tonight. I made a basic vanilla cupcake (homemade!) with a meringue top! I just love the look of these! I am sending them all to work with Jeff tomorrow! What a fattening hobby!
