Still thinking of concert
I am still thinking a lot about the concert last weekend. It was just so awesome. Here are some pictures I downloaded from that night! I am in the process of trying to find some good seats for the Christmas concert!

We are back!
What a great weekend! We left for Columbus at 12:oo Saturday after soccer. We had a 4 1/2 hour drive. It went by fast! I listened to Clay Aiken's cd and his Jukebox Tour Concert! It really got me excited to see Clay! We found our hotel and headed over to the venue. It was a big outdoor picnic! We walked around to the the bus, and a security guard came over and waited for us to leave. There was so much security there. We met up with our new friends from Terre Haute, Phyllis and Gary. They were very nice! I would try to explain how well Clay sang, but I don't even know how to put it into words. He just sounds completely awesome. Also, his jokes are hilarious. Afterward, we stayed at the bus and I got to shake his hand and say "thank you" again! It is great to be able to do that. I had a great time and I can't wait until Christmas time to do it all again!
Shaking Hands (you will have to set your settings to the lightest setting to see this clearly):

Looking forward to the weekend!
It is finally here, the Clay Aiken concert. We will be leaving tomorrow morning and heading for our hotel in Columbus. The picnic starts at 6 and the concert begins at 8:15! How exciting! Then, afterward, there is a party at the restaurant next to our hotel! I can't wait!

Saying Goodbye!
We have decided to say goodbye to a dear family member. She is just taking up too much room in our house! We ignore her and there is really no need to keep her. If anyone would like to buy her, just contact me! I am going to try to sell her $150.00.......
She will be missed!

Birds
I know that many of you won't understand this, but I am sure my parents will. You see, they like to watch birds! Hahaha. They have a few feeders by their kitchen window and they like to sit and watch the birds. They even look these birds up to see what kind they are. I, unfortunately, have never cared. Until now. As I was sitting on my swing, I was looking at the bird's nest that was above me. I could see it perfectly in our big tree in the backyard. I knew it was there and have commented how cool it is to have so many bird's nests in our yard. There are probably 4 right now. (One in the roof of the garage, hahaha). I was watching the robin as it was feeding it's babies. I don't really know how many are in there, but it looked like two. The robin had one worm and it gave it to one of the babies, then flew away. While she was gone, I sat and watched. The other baby bird kept lifting it's head and opening it's mouth. It seemed to be saying, "What about me?". Finally, after watching the mother robin search for worms in the yard, she returned to the nest with a worm for the other bird. Wow! I can't believe how smart birds are. I never really thought about it. But, the nest was perfectly built on two limbs that joined together. How does a bird know that? They have to think,"There is a good place for my nest!". Then, they build it and lay eggs in it. They know to take care of these eggs. They know they have to feed the babies. They know what to feed the babies. They know how to teach them to fly. They know how much food they should get. AND, she knew to give the other baby the worm since the other one had already had one. Unbelievable, really!
So, I guess I will no longer make fun of my parents for "bird watching". I guess I understand the intrigue!

Swimming and Cousins
Today we had Brittani, my niece, over for the day. Jaden had a blast. He loves Brittani! We started out the day walking to the playground and stopping at a garage sale on the way. The kids played on the computer and played some video games. It is so cool to watch an eleven year old and 3 year old play together! They enjoy some of the same things. I know this won't last long, so I just sat back and watched and took it all in. Brittani is growing up so fast! She will be twelve next month! She is going to be going to jr high and she has a boyfriend! A lot of things will be changing with her over the next few years. Anyway, they played in the sprinkler and splashed in the pool. They enjoyed some teddy grahams while sitting on the swing set! I hope she enjoyed the day as much as Jaden did!

Happy 4th and Jericho
Happy 4th of July! It is storming here, so I really don't know how many fireworks will be out tonight. I hope it stops soon!
So, onto Jericho. This is my new favorite show! I have been watching all of the episodes at http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/. This is an awesome show. It took me a couple of episodes to get really into it, but now I am hooked! It starts airing again on July 6th. You can catch all of last seasons episodes this summer! How cool is that! You can also watch at the address I just posted. I think everyone would enjoy it!
We didn't do anything special this July 4th. I made some red, white, and blue jello and Jaden and I made a flag using construction paper, stamps, and marshmallows. We also ate some watermelon, which seems very July 4thish!!! We might watch some of the neighbor's fireworks if is stops raining.

Brigadoon
On Friday, I took Jaden to see Brigadoon performed by local jr high and high school students. I also saw an old friend of mine, she was directing the show.
I was a little nervous of how Jaden would handle a musical. It was outdoors at a park. We laid our blanket down and Jaden munched on fruit snacks, raisins, and koolaid. We also had some popcorn during the show. Jaden loved the show. He watched very intently and was even clapping for every song they sang. I am so happy he enjoyed it. He will definitely be attending more musicals!
