Another day at the park...

Yesterday, the kids and I went to Linton with my mom, out to eat. We met my 2 uncles and aunt there. The kids were good, except Cassidy got carsick on the way there and puked.......EEEKKK!!!!! But, everything went well after that.
I took the kids to the park this morning for a walk and a little time on the playground. Jaden had a great time. He always meets other kids there and calls them his friends! He played very well today and even left like a good boy. I love days like this. So far, he has been a very good boy. I need to get all of the things ready for his party on Saturday. He is so excited!

Long Week Ahead

Jeff has a very long week ahead of him. He has to work Monday through Friday and also work half a day on Saturday. One of the guys at work had a heart attack and he will be gone for 2 months! So, this puts me in charge of getting everything ready for the party Saturday. I can't wait. Jaden has changed what he wants on his cake several times. It has all been Scooby Doo, just different ways he wants the cake. Now, he wants a haunted house on top with Scooby and the Gang all around it. So, I guess I will be trying that.
Saturday, I went to a Pampered Chef brunch. That was fun! I am going to host a show at the end of October or maybe the beginning of December!
We had a good time today. I actually finished 5 scrapbook pages! I can't believe it! We took the kids to the park and had lunch. Jaden played on the playground and looked at the animals there. It is nice having these days when we don't have to get anything done. Jeff did have to mow the lawn though.....

Arbonne

Today was a good day. We got the house cleaned up this morning and got some groceries. We saw Grandma at Hobby Lobby, which was the highlight of Jaden's day. Tonight, I went to an Arbonne party with a friend. Turns out, I think I like the products. It is just very expensive. And, well, since we are trying to buy a house in a year, I don't think I will be able to get many of the products. While at the party, my friend Kim was sitting next to me. There was a kid playing with the basketball goal behind us and it began to fall. I tried to catch it and slices my thumb open! I didn't think it was very bad, until I looked down and noticed it was bleeding! Ahhh. Kim had a band aid in her purse. I really need to start carrying things like this around with me! This basketball goal was made out of glass. I would hate to think of what might have happened if Kim was seated just a few inches back. Wow........
Tomorrow, I am off to a Pampered Chef party. I can't wait. Everyone knows how much I love that stuff. I am planning on buying some little prep bowls. But, I usually change my mind once I get there. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Playdates

It is so nice that I have met so many people with young kids. Jaden has been to several play dates lately. The most recent was at my friend, Teresa's house. Her little girl Hanna is so cute!

We also had Catherine and Morgan over to the house and everyone tried on Cassidy's sunglasses! That made for some cute pictures:

Cassidy has another first this week! I was painting my toenails while Cassidy sat and watched. She sat down and stuck her little foot out, like she wanted me to paint her toenails. So, I got a very light color and did it! How cute! She is going to be so girly!!!!

Monopoly and Fire Stations...

We had a great weekend! Saturday was cleaning day and then, we had some friends over for game night. We had some pizza while watching the kids run (and crawl) around! We also had some fruit with dip (thank you so much Catherine!!!! I think I ate enough of that, wow!!). We started off playing euchre, girls against the guys. The guys ended up winning (grr). Then, we started on what turned out to be, a 5 hour game of Monopoly! Holy Cow! Catherine went out, then me. As we sat and talked about scrapbooking, the guys were playing until 1:30 am. Jeff was the big winner of that one! All of this game playing has me realizing I have not played enough games in my life. That is all going to change now! It is so much fun!

Sunday we took Jaden to see Underdog. That was a great movie! Jaden showed so much emotion. He even started crying when he thought Underdog had died. He was happy when he found out he was okay. We took him to the pet store and book store afterward. We also went to Cheeseburger in Paradise. That was fun. There was live music and I especially enjoyed the chocolate nachos. Jaden even got an extra bowl of ice cream from the waitress! Afterward, she gave him a little gummy cheeseburger candy, and he said he was very proud of her. He says the cutest things now.
We picked Cassidy up from Grandma and Papa's and headed to church. We sat down and found out we would be getting in our cars and going somewhere to help people in our community. We picked "taking cookies to the firemen in Riley and Brazil". Jaden got a kick out of that. He got to see the big trucks and even got some stickers. He also asked a couple of questions. He is getting so smart!
I have an update on the homeschooling situation. I have been talking with Jeff and praying so hard about this. I have decided to start homeschooling him next year. I have had so many signs this week that it is the right thing to do. 1. Jaden started saying he doesn't want to GO to school. 2. He keeps getting his workbooks out and saying "I am doing my homework". 3. He is very eager to learn and seems to listen and pay attention to me. There are so many other reasons, but those really stuck out this week. We started on a preschool workbook this week and hope to keep doing them all year. I am hoping he might get some for his birthday!

Tuffets and Starbucks

A lot of you know that Cassidy has a tuffet in her room. I have had this for a long time, and decided to put it in Cassidy's room when I was pregnant. It is so cute in there. Yesterday, she decided to sit on it for the first time. At first, she was trying to sit on it, then, she started having me put her on it. It was the cutest thing. I am so happy I caught her doing it and got some pictures.

Jaden and I met up with some friends at Starbucks last night. Jaden was very rowdy but I think it was because he was tired. But I did catch this shot:

Lazy Days

The saying "Lazy Days of Summer" is so true. It seems we have been really lazy here lately besides occasional trips to the park! Cassidy is getting so much bigger and Jaden is getting smarter! It is amazing to watch them grow. I have noticed it a lot lately. We have been thinking about homeschooling and thinking of how that will affect Cassidy. We have some big decisions ahead.

Speaking of decisions, I will be sending out invites for Jaden's party this week. We are in the middle of planning it. He wants a Scooby Doo party. He has said that since the day of his last party! He is quite the future planner! We plan on just having cake and ice cream. It makes it a little less hectic for me. There will be some games for the kids and the little pool will be ready to go! Can't wait.

Today, we have a playdate with Braden and Jaelyn. Tomorrow, we will be shopping for party supplies!

Saturday

Yesterday was the first day of NO soccer.:( Luckily, Jaden hasn't been too sad about it, just us. He is looking forward to basketball again. He will be starting in October.

Last night we had some friends over and we played cards. It was a nice evening! Jaden actually fell asleep on the couch! All of you who know Jaden, know that he doesn't fall asleep anywhere else besides his bed! I took a picture:

I have been seeing so many things I would like. But, since we have decided to start saving for a house, I need to stop spending on "things". So, I will have to wait until we are in our house to get any of these! But aren't they cute:

It has been too hot to go outside and play, so Jaden has been stuck inside. I would take him to Bogey's but, he like to play the golf outside! So, we have been staying home. Yesterday, we took the kids to the library. That is the perfect place to go when it is 100 degrees outside! Also, we plan on taking Jaden to see UnderDog soon. He is going to love that movie (and so will Jeff!).

Great Weekend!

We had a great (but hot) weekend. We went to soccer and a birthday party on Saturday and Sunday we had some friends over! We also went to church tonight and found Jaden in time out when we went to pick him up! Poor thing can't help but run everywhere he goes and that is why he had to sit for awhile. It's funny, I know he needed to be put in time out, it is just hard seeing that someone else was punishing him. I totally agreed with it though. Jeff and I are going to watch a little bit of Jericho online tonight and we are off to bed!

Finally, we have gotten the news we have been waiting for. Jeff is getting transferred to a store in Indianapolis! He will now have an hour drive instead of two! He will be starting there tomorrow. I have been praying for this for a long time (since he started with Pep Boys!). Our plan is to start looking for a house to buy in one year. So, next summer, we will have a new house! I can't wait. We will hopefully find something we can both agree on! I am getting very picky as I get older, so I hope something comes on the market that I love!
We have a busy weekend ahead, so I need to get rested up!

So Hot!

It is getting really hot this week. We have still been spending some time outside. Yesterday, I took the kids to the park and then, Jaden went swimming. He loves his little pool. We also jumped on the trampoline some. Today, we met a new friend at another park and had a great time. Cassidy met a little girl around the same age as her! Tonight, we plan on having hotdogs by the firepit. It has been a great week!
